DBT Medical Limited is primarily a rubber company. Our products are made from top quality dry crepe rubber, a naturally recurring source. After their useful life our products will biodegrade. We make truly environmentally friendly products. Our crepe rubber is ethically sourced from a producer working on ‘Fairtrade’ principles.
The company was started in 1979 by Roger Blackburn and Roy Dunphy. It is vertically integrated. We buy in natural dry crepe rubber and send out finished packaged products to many countries throughout the world as well as within the United Kingdom. We mainly sell to other companies who market the products made by us under their name.
In the first 8 months of 2011 we have exported our reusable medical rubber products to Japan, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and amongst other EU countries Germany and Sweden.
The company has a small staff of experienced workers who have been with the company for many years.
DBT Medical Limited is CE Mark registered and all materials going into our products are fully traceable against the batch codes which are stamped onto the products. We are registered with the FDA (US Federal Food and Drugs Administration) and more specifically the CDRH (The Center for Devices and Radiological Health). We are also registered with the Department of Health in the United Kingdom under the MHRA (Medical and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency).
In addition, we are regularly inspected by accreditation companies such as SGS on behalf of the customers for whom we manufacture under various ISO standards.

Our factory is situated a few hundred yards from Church Green in the centre of Witney which, for several centuries, was famous for its wool and blanket mills.
