We are always seeking new products and ideas that can be made using our core skills and the processes shown in those sections of our website.
Bags
We manufacture an extensive range of rubber bags, typically urine collection bags, ’ostomy bags and a large variety of balloons used as the inner bladder of bags used to stop off drains and gas pipelines.
Bags come in many very different shapes and forms. Some have non return valves fitted to them some will have buckles for example to hold leg straps, some will have different side openings where we have rolled out the rubber to form an effective ‘o’ ring. www.flowstop.co.uk
Our skills enable us to do this in many different diameters. We have made bags for stopping off pipes from as small as 1” (2.5cms) in diameter up to 12ft in diameter (in excess of 4 metres).
Many designs of body worn male urinals
We manufacture a large range of body worn urinals and even make one offs to solve the problems of individual patients. Collection systems enables the patient to be kept dry with the urine collecting in a bag. Many find these preferable to using nappies which absorb the urine, invariably making the patient sore and smelly. After a long useful life our products biodegrade with minimal disposal problems. Shewee Go
This is a body worn female urinal designed to fit neatly over the urethra and held in place by support pants. The Shewee-go can be worn with a collection bag or when participating in sport - diving for example, then it is fitted with a tube which connects to a valve which passes through the diving suit.
Inflatable Lavatory Seat Cushions DBT code. LM 624001
Paraplegic, tetraplegics and others find the inflatable lavatory seat cushions a tremendous aid to toiletting. The photograph shows the traditional design which has been available for many years. The skirt fits round and under the toilet seat. If you take off the toilet seat, the bolts which hold it to the porcelain bowl will pass through the holes in the flap. You then replace the seat with the cushion attached and tighten the butterfly or ordinary nuts to secure it in place. This makes a very secure attachment to the toilet seat.
Some people don’t pass the bolts through the skirt but rely on the skirt. If you do that it is much easier to remove the inflatable cushion, which, when deflated, takes up very little space.

Anaesthetics head harnesses
We manufacture a variety of designs of anaesthetic head harnesses used to hold face masks in place during anaesthesia.
The head harnesses are made from natural dry rubber sheet which includes a compound to ensure they are electrically conductive.
Anaesthetic Face Masks for Children and Babies
The Queen Charlotte inhalers are made from natural dry rubber sheet which includes a compound to ensure they are electrically conductive.
Animal Size Re Breathing Bags
We make a range of re breathing bags for use on anaesthetic machines when anaesthetising horses and other large animals.
These are made from natural dry sheet rubber.
The size we most commonly manufacture has a capacity of 35 litres, but any size can be made.
Esmarch Bandages
The Esmarch bandage is a sheet rubber bandage which is rolled up and then unwound round a limb to control bleeding. We manufacture in many sizes specified by width and length ands with and without cotton ties at one end.
Toe Straighteners
We manufacture a variety of different shaped bandages to help give support to and straighten toes.

Contraceptive diaphragms
We manufacture contraceptive diaphragms which incorporate a flat steel spring. This enables the diaphragm to be inserted easily into the vagina before springing back into shape to hold the diaphragm in the correct place. Unlike coiled springs the flat springs don’t twist. Practice diaphragms are also available.
Incontinence Sheaths (External Catheters) and Retaining Strips
We supply a range of sizes and types of natural latex incontinence sheaths and the strips to hold them in place. Some of these are available on the drug tariff larger quantities can be purchased from us direct.
We offer 2 types of double sided strips to go inside the sheath with adhesive and release paper on both sides of the foam strip, which is available in two thicknesses. The other is made of a hydrocolloid material which is thin and stretchy and has very easy to remove backing paper. We also offer a strip with the adhesive and release paper on one side only. This is used to hold the sheath in place from the outside. Finally we offer a washable foam strap with a Velcro closure.
Enema Tips
We manufacture enema tips in a variety of shapes and sizes with various eye arrangements at the tip.
Enema tips are used by radiographers in hospitals to extend the lower gastrointestinal tract and to introduce a barium enema medium so that any abnormalities can be seen and photographed. This requires a variety of different eye arrangements and some with or without balloons.
Strong and stretchy
When tested to break our rubber sheet can extend up to 14 times its original length and still return to its original size. This should be borne in mind as a very helpful characteristic when designing products using our material.
